A lifelong resident of Monroe County, Jason has practiced law in Bloomington since his Bar Admission in 2000. Jason is a member of the Monroe County Bar Association, the Indiana Bar Association (Bankruptcy & Creditors' Rights, Taxation, and Probate, Trust & Real Property Sections) and offers experienced representation for clients in real estate, banking, business transactions, and creditors rights litigation. Jason is also a registered civil mediator.
He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology & Sociology from Indiana University in 1996, and a J.D. from the Indiana University School of Law in 2000. While attending law school he clerked at the Bloomington law firm of Taylor, Bauer & Densford, and upon graduation, joined that firm as an associate practicing in real estate, creditors' rights, and serving as counsel in title insurance claims matters. In 2009 he formed McAuley Law Office, LLC, focusing on his banking and creditors' rights practice.
Jason joined The Koch Law Firm, P.C. in 2012 at the firm's former office location in the Buskirk-Showers Mansion in downtown Bloomington, serving as lead counsel in all of the firm's recovery division litigation. In May 2014, the firm moved to its present location in Bloomington at 1720 N. Kinser Pike. In 2015 Jason began operation of the affiliated title insurance company Koch Title Insurance Company d/b/a Indiana Title Insurance Co. In 2017 the firm became Koch McAuley & Bailey P.C. The firm also maintains an office at 1801 I Street in Bedford.
